This is going to be a blog about books I love and want to share with other readers. I’m not a book critic; I’m not going to bother you with my thoughts about a book I detested (not least because I probably didn’t finish it). I just want to recommend books I think people should experience.
I’ll write a few paragraphs with enough information to give you an idea of what the book is about, and hopefully entice you to read it. What I won’t do is give you so much information that you are constantly remembering what I’ve said and looking for what I saw. You should have your own reading experience.
Sometimes a book has a subtext that catches my eye, something in the writing that deepens my reading (and writing) experience. When this happens The Attentive Reader will point out what she noticed.
Thrilled you have become a blogstress! My mysteries are along the lines of Mickey Spillaine. I have become an Arthurian devotee and have waaaaay too many books to prove it. Also still into historic novels-mostly pre-history. KEEP WRITING!! Jacob is working on his 1st mystery. It sounds very interesting so far. h&k
Dale I’m so excited to follow your new blog!!!! I can’t wait to read what you recommend. Watch out book club–this year’s suggestions are going to be bonafide and quality!
